.NET Software Engineer/Architect

Volt is looking for a SW Engineer for a client based in OR. Need to develop complex software applications and services.
Essential Functions include -
To partner with product management, design, and engineering teams to build easy to use applications for delivery over the web.
Specify, design, implement, and maintain complex software applications and supporting tools.
Monitor, analyze and troubleshoot serious problems in the daily operation.
Secondary Functions include-
Participate in architectural system discussions, design reviews, and usability testing.
Ability to provide estimates of scope of work and time to delivery.
Co-develop solutions and resolve problems with vendors.
Scope and Accountability:Nature of contacts: Internally, contact with Product Management (to develop engineering requirements), Project Managers (to consult with the deployment of new products), Customer Services (to troubleshoot customer problems), and Engineers. Externally, contact with technical customer personnel (to understand any unique requirements in either pre- or post- sales situations and to resolve technical problems).


Requirements:

Must to a large extent have the following knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent in job experience.
5-8 years experience developing large scale software systems.Proven ability to design and develop web-browser based applications on .NET and SQL Server.
Experience with ASP.NET, ASP, HTML, XML, XSLT with an emphasis on dynamic web publishing applications.
Thorough understanding of .Net technologies and C#.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team in a full life cycle environment.
Developing technical solutions over a wide range of technologies (incl. OO, RDBMS, Web, HTML, XML), IIS, experience with various programming languages and operating systems. Interpret/deduce product design from high-level requirements. Excellent problem solver.
Be self-directed and prioritize work independently. Schedule large development reliably. The ability to effectively report on status and proactively communicate problems are highly desired traits.Written communication needed to document software projects and/or technical procedures. Experience in presentation of technical information preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the US and qualified in most of the skills above. This can be a 6 months contract or full time opportunity. Please respond with resume, salary and hourly rate expected and availability. Thanks.
