NCO Level II IP Engineer

Responsible for resolving complex IP Core problems; performing expert maintenance, configuring and testing all types of data communications equipment and services. Troubleshoots IP Core network hardware and software using monitoring and diagnostic programs. Prepares communications equipment for installation by testing, calibrating, or modifying equipment as required. Maintains data network equipment and services to ensure working order and demand availability by performing scheduled, routing on-line tests and by checking, adjusting, or reccommending replacing equipment to established standards. Ensures proper working order for new or updated network service. Supports senior staff as required and ensures customer requirements and project milestones are met.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other scientific or technical discipline directly related to the labor category + five (5) years experience of which at least three (3) years must be specialized.

OR

AA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other scientific or technical discipline directly related to the labor category + seven (7) years experience of which at least six (6) years must be specialized.







DESIRED SKILLS:

Experience in trouble shooting IP network problems.

A current minimum Secret security clearance.
