Mining/Sampling Engineer

This is a growing company providing products, technology and services to the energy, construction and home improvement industries. Through its alternative energy, coal combustion products and building products businesses. Seeking a Mining/Sampling Engineer responsibilities include:


Develop the most economical mining plans for recovering waste coal at each of the project sites (wet fines recovery; wet gob recovery; dry gob recovery)


Develop or assist with development of reclamation plans (if using outside experts) for each of the project sites


Coordinate and/or direct the sampling and analysis programs at each of the project sites


Work with appropriate CEF personnel during the permitting phase to understand and comply with the requirements of each state (project) for waste coal recovery operations and reclamation


Direct the preparation of necessary maps and other documents needed to support marketing, production, reclamation, or the needs of state/federal agencies.


Work with plant managers during facility operation to optimize production through implementation of the mining plan and updating the mining plan as additional data becomes available.


Assist the plant managers in implementing site reclamation activities as disturbed/mined areas become available.


Assist plant managers in documenting and closing reclamation activities with the appropriate regulatory agency.


Requires BS in related field and 5 years industry experience.
