Mining Engineer

The Mining Engineer will assist the Quarry Supervisor in performing production activities. Supervise and direct quarry personnel. Learn the mining software and keep it updated.Ensure that survey and shot chemistry data are regularly used to keep the mine model current. Develop and annually revise the one and five-year mining plans. Oversee mining projects such as exploratory drilling or rock mechanics study. Interface with and assist plant and corporate personnel as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering desired. Other degrees such as Civil Engineering or Geosciences Degree may be acceptable depending on work experience. Supervisor experience and familiarity with mining software and open pit mining beneficial.

Surveying knowledge and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be proficient with PC’s and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
