Job DescriptionPosition Responsibilities: Responsible for all aspects of the DCS MOX Project Training Program at both Charlotte and Aiken locations. These duties include, but are not limited to limited to the following: Analysis, development, implementation, and maintenance of training programs as they relate to DCS MOX. Ensure that all contractually required project training initiatives are identified and met. Plan, develop, administer, and lead programs to implement job related soft skills and technical training. Provide guidance to Technical Experts in the development and delivery of group specific training. Revise curriculum, lesson plans, and controlling procedures; establish course objectives and determine best delivery vehicle. Performance of annual training organization assessment. Ensure high quality training programs are maintained. Continual evaluation of training programs and research of best new practices. Maintain upper management awareness of emergent training issues and implement emergent training with minimal impact to the project. Provide effective instruction in the training classroom and ensure required training is adequately documented. Provide overall management of personnel assigned to Training Organization including administrative assistants and training specialists by: planning work assignments, scheduling work, managing work flow and budgetary compliance. Perform appraisals and process timesheets.
Required Qualifications (include minimum years of experience and degree requirements): BA/BS plus 10-12 years of related work experience. An advanced degree (MS or MBA) may substitute for 1-2 years of related work experience. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments. Has well-developed leadership qualities. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of NRC requirements and regulations as they relate to training. Experience in facilitating training classes. Demonstrated ability to interface with auditors, regulators, and evaluation teams from the NRC and other organizations in the area of training program requirements and accreditation. Ability to complete multiple projects or assignments with critical constraints on time and budget. Strong experience in supervisory role. Travel periodically.
Desired Qualifications (include desired certifications and/or desired education qualifications): Advanced degree (MS or MBA) Previous Training Management background. DOE project knowledge and background.
