Job Description

Provide expert systems-level electrical support to both production and suppliers.
Provide sustaining electrical engineering and support for quality assurance efforts.
Recommend plans for a variety of projects to improve electrical assembly and testing procedures.
Provide technical leadership and develop projects assigned, to ensure optimum product quality and cost with timely delivery in compliance with the product development process.
Identify and recommend facilities, personnel and funds required to carry out programs which are directly related to and directed toward the fulfillment of the overall organization's objectives.
Provide manufacturing leadership on new product development teams.
Contribute to process development efforts.
Generate and review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to ensure they are complete, accurate and appropriate.
Perform assignments related to the Change Implementation Process (CIPB) and maintain the associated database.
Develop Manufacturing processes, procedures and documentation to meet or exceed FDA and ISO criteria.
Determine the need and optimize the utilization of manufacturing facilities and fixed assets.
Develop and monitor both the expense and capital equipment appropriation requests for assigned projects.
Performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs.
Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards.
Performs packaging line and manufacturing inspections, and sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials.
Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action.
Prepares documentation for inspection/testing procedures.
SAP experience preferred.

Preferred Profile

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or technical discipline with a minimum of 5-7 years experience in a manufacturing environment, providing systems-level support of highly complex medical diagnostic systems. Nuclear Medicine experience, desired. Green Belt certification, desired. Experience in lean manufacturing techniques desired. Familiarity with UNIX and/or LINUX operating systems is desired. Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to develop and motivate junior team members within a matrix organization.
