Architecture Medical Planner


Primary Responsibilities:
o Specialize in medical facility planning, programming, medical equipment planning, and report writing. o Independently conduct planning/programming client meetings or other client presentations.
o Capable of managing and mentoring healthcare studio members. o Conduct research, complete data analyses, and develop reports. May be responsible for technical coordination for specific aspects of project work and for consultants to the project.
o Conduct analyses of long-term healthcare facility needs and develop solutions involving construction of new facilities and major rehabs of existing facilities.
o Conduct analyses of space utilization, determine space requirements for expanding, and create solutions to meet evolving space needs.
o Normally functions as client leader/project planner, responsible for meeting budget criteria and maintaining project schedules for a variety of projects; responsible for leading the planning effort for a variety of healthcare projects.
o Perform other duties as required to meet deadlines; contribute to the success of project assignments, and achieve overall office goals.
o Establish and nurture client relationships, including responsibility for customer satisfaction.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
o Normally supervises and/or delegates assignments to other studio members; responsible for directing the daily efforts of a project planning team.* Salary Commensurate with Experience.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have acquired 10 to 15 years related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in the Healthcare Architecture field with emphasis on Medical Planning / Programming. - Must have demonstrated effectiveness working in a team setting, with a history of client satisfaction. - Must have a thorough knowledge of technical aspects relating to healthcare is essential, as is the ability to communicate well with others and make independent decisions. - Must have a B. Architecture or Interior Design, and, for the Medical Planning/Programming area of specialty, a M.A./M.S. in a related field is preferred.
