Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: Essential Functions
Provide technical leadership and coordination of engineering and design activities for combined cycle power plants.
Implement identified Best Practices on project and proposal processes.
Lead development and/or refinement documentation to ensure effective design and engineering practices.
Identify technical risks and corrective actions.
Actively lead or participate in the development of the Design Basis Document and Reference Plant Designs.
Perform thermal/fluid systems calculations in support of above activities.
Aggressively follow equipment and field problems and assist in formulation of corrective actions, testing, and implementation of field fixes. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
A minimum of 10 years experience in a detailed combined cycle power plant design environment, i.e., experience working in an A/E environment.
Computer literacy.
Construction/commissioning field experience.
Strong GT/ST/GEN product knowledge and BOP integration capability.

Professional Engineer (PE) Registration.
Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Good communication skills.
Results-oriented team player.
Demonstrated leadership ability in a multi-task, multi-discipline environment.
Ability to interpret customer RFQ and contract requirements.
Ability to manage/oversee complex piping and support engineering and procurement activities.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate design changes with material suppliers, sub-vendors and contractors.General: Some required travel.
