Mechanical Test Engineer

The Test Facilities Operation, Maintenance and Engineering (TFOME) contract at the NASA Glenn Research Center provides engineering and technical services in the aeropropulsion and space propulsion and power test facilities. TFOME management is dedicated to excellence in service and to providing outstanding technical opportunities for our employees. We specialize in providing unique products and services to NASA Glenn. We are currently seeking candidates to join our team that will be providing facility and test engineering support as part of the TFOME contract at NASA Glenn Research. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the ground test facilities at the NASA Glenn Research Center. Duties will include: project management, development of test documentation (including detailed work schedules, task lists, and safety overviews), interfacing with design, fabrication and facility technical staff on hardware related issues, design of hardware and support systems, conducting testing in aero-propulsion and space simulation test facilities, supporting facility upgrades and maintenance projects, and providing written and verbal status reports to the test teams, management and client.
REQUIREMENTSWe are looking to fill several engineering positions.
This is an entry-level position (up to 3 years experience) and a B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.A Professional Engineer license from the State of Ohio is a plus!Communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work effective in a team environment are essential.Knowledge of Aerospace test facilities and test techniques a plus.
