Mechanical Project Engineer

Responsibilities:
Building modification/expansion. Responsible for utility tracking (measuring and estimating usage). Engineering project business planning, tracking and reporting. Support of other disciplines such as Electrical and Structural. Mechanical maintenance support including equipment running efficiency, preventative maintenance strategies and life cycle cost. Liaison to all production departments for mechanical engineering needs. Maintain mechanical drawings and specs. Department mechanical technical leadership.Daily Tasks:
Project management, primarily mechanical but will involve all disciplines. Planning tracking and reporting. Bid preparation. Capital investment/expense justification, documentation and presentations. Cost control and estimates. Oversee and control installations. Guarantee spec. compliance. Customer satisfaction confirmation. Maintenance group mechanical direction for equipment life cycle efficiency and cost.Experience:
Minimum of four years experience with mechanical engineering centered around facility equipment (HVAC, Chiller, Compressors, etc.).Knowledge:
Background in mechanical engineering but familiar with electrical and/or structural engineering. Utility capacity measurement and engineering. Familiar with business planning and cost control process. Previous engineering or maintenance know-how. Familiar with mechanical codes and compliance.Required Skills:

Fluent in the contracting and bidding process.

Ability to manage associates.
Willingness to develop skills and responsibilities beyond the mechanical base.Desired Skills:
Ability to manage all space and utility requirements per business plans.
Strong understanding of systems and capacities related to department needs.
Knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques and methods.
Understanding of “The Honda Way” related to construction/maintenance.
Mentored under experienced Honda management.
Fluent in the Honda of America Mfg., Inc. business planning process.
Fluent in the E-flow process.Degree:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or certificate of completion in a technology related field desired or equivalent experience required.
