Description: Mechanical design engineer for spacecraft systems

Qualifications: Minimum of BS degree (MS degree preferred) and 9+ years of applicable mechanical engineering experience. Must possess strong technical and leadership ability. Ability to lead teams, manage program budget and schedule. Candidate should excel in a team environment and possess effective verbal and written communications skills. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Pro/ENGINEER desired. This position requires a security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities: Perform mechanical engineering tasks on programs involving space borne antennas and structure in a fast paced, innovative, environment. Prepare top level architecture trades, validate requirements specifications, perform appropriate analysis, support design peer reviews, develop spacecraft deployable antenna architecture, participate in developing strategic technology capabilities. Participate in SOW and specifications development. Interface with customers. May be required to lead teams and manage program budget and schedule. Mentor less senior engineers.
