Mechanical Engineering Manager

This globally driven family of premier bag packaging technology, equipment and material handling companies is currently seeking highly motivated, hands-on individuals to join its engineering team at its Statesville, NC facility.


Responsibility include:*Identify new product development opportunities, develop/lead/coordinate the integration of mechanical and electrical systems with practical and innovative approaches.
*Streamline/update product legacy data (BOM's drawings, specifications) to ensure good support structure for the various departments.
*Effectively direct, supervise the engineering team to ensure that activities and projects selected are completed on time and on budget.
*Develop cost standards and product cost of goods.
*Ensure that changes/modifications/upgrades are fully documented.Requirements:*Mechanical Engineering Degree (+ electrical design experience)
*10 to 15 years demonstrated successful experience in a design and manufacturing environment.
*Proven mechanical and electrical(PLS, HMI, network) design skills.
*Prior experience in successfully leading a team
*AutoCAD experience required (SolidWorks desired)
*MS Office required
*Strong familiarity with welded frames, PLC driven equipment, drive systems, servos.
*Proven track record in leading individual and team efforts to successful completion.
