Mechanical Engineer, Senior
NIITEK, Inc. designs and fabricates ground-penetrating radar with military and humanitarian applications. We currently mount these systems on robotic platforms to detect landminds and remove individuals from the minefield.
Our work is funded through contracts with the US Army RDECOM, Night Vision Electronic Sensors Directorate, and BAE Systems Inc. This year, we are expanding from research and development into production.
One of our priorities this Fall is to add two Senior Mechanical Engineers capable of working on multi-disciplinary teams to create or manage outputs that meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will expand capability in areas of:
Design for military specification
Mechanism development and analysis
Development of basic power distribution systems
Structural and thermal analysis
Positions pay commensurate with education/experience, plus full benefits incldg health and retirement plans. All positions feature work/life balance and small-company working environment.

REQUIREMENTS
Application requires:
· 5+ years experience on advanced electro/mechanical product design for manufacture
· Military systems development (MIL-STD 461 EMI/EMC, MIL-STD-810 ideal)
· Hands-on experience taking mid-volume products from concept through debut and into production
· Pro/Engineer; BOM/MRP knowledge
· Basic electrical troubleshooting, fabrication, and machining skills
· Practiced teaming and program management skills
· Knowledge of production processes and standards
· US Citizenship/Permanent Resident work status required for Clearance eligibility
