Mechanical Engineer - Process/Project

PAS Technologies Inc. a world leader in the repair of aviation propulsion components and surface enhancement technologies has an openings for a Mechanical Engineer – Process/Project at our Tulsa, Oklahoma facility.
Under direct supervision, responsible for performing basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned. Prepares or assists in preparing reports, graphs, planning layouts, costs estimates and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results. Interface with internal and external customer/suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS
Position will work with Airframe and Coatings Departments to support existing and new airframe applications. Ongoing support will also be given to Lean initiatives and cost reduction projects. Working knowledge of airframe, aviation structures, thermally sprayed coatings, ABB robotics, CAD/CAM, and/or CNC equipment is a plus. Projects may include product development and testing, tooling design, prototype and 1st article production runs as well as job planning and creation of job instructions and shop floor support. Candidate must have good written and verbal skills and must be able to work within a team environment. Candidate will interface with engineering, shop floor, sales, and marketing personnel, and customers. Support of the safety & quality principles and programs is a must.In addition to excellent communications skills, successful candidates must possess a B.S. degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience in a “hands-on” production environment. Previous experience with the design, manufacturing or repair of aerospace propulsion or airframe components is a plus. Also, candidates who have a background in the automotive industry or any other related industry with robotics and automation implementation are encouraged to apply.
