Mechanical Design Engineer

Purpose: Job Description: This position is responsible for developing practical solutions for multidisciplinary complex technical problems involving aspects of engineering theory and thorough knowledge of Mobile Equipment type products. Works on problems that impact design/selling success or address future products or technology. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.

REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree in mechanical, or electrical engineering and 8+ years of related experience including a minimum of 5+ years in a project management role
-OR -
Masters Degree and 6+ years related experience including 5+ years in a project management role.

- Expert knowledge in control system design, including hydraulic, electrical, and electronic.
- Thorough understanding of circuit board design and control system software development.
- Knowledge in mechanical and structural design.
- Understanding of bills of materials and cost analysis.
- Advanced understanding of new design and manufacturing technologies and market research including their potential impact on the AWP industry.
- Expert knowledge of type products and lean manufacturing processes.
- Ability to identify and work through multi-disciplinary complex technical problems independently.
- Able to effectively lead project teams and utilize resources to produce optimal results.Classification:Direct PlacementCompensation:
