Manufacturing Producibility Engineer

A Producibility Engineer as an integral team member of the strategical supply chain transition group. As such, this individual is responsible for evaluating design change requests from newly sourced suppliers while coordinating with all relevant engineering disciplines, quality, transition and program management. Other responsibilities include assessing technical capabilities vs. component requirements, tracking FAI and sample hardware, evaluating specifications and coordinating process change testing.
Knowledge of print reading, dimensioning and tolerancing is a must. Basic production knowledge of castings, forgings, fabrications, machining and special processes is desired. Familiarity with mechanical components (turbines, gears & gearboxes, bearings, tubes, combustors & sheet metal, etc.) is desired.
Excellent oral and written skills in English are necessary, foreign language a plus, along with the ability to work in a multi-national environment.
Primary responsibilities will be communicating, prioritizing, authoring, tracking and expediting engineering changes (EC’s) associated with supplier development and fielded hardware investigative work.
