Manufacturing Manager: Electornics Manufacturing

POSITIOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for managing Manufacturing Operations by supervising Line/Cell Supervisors and Associates. Liaise with Materials, Engineering, QC; ensuring that productivity, cycle count, labor efficiency, quality and profitability goals are met, and that records are maintained according to CTS policies and procedures. May be responsible for all or part of the following responsibilities. Project Management and Closure. Coordinating and Facilitating meetings.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate the operations of manufacturing areas. Direct the line supervisors to reach production goals consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements. To review in conjunction with planning, the material, equipment and manpower resources requirements necessary to execute the master production schedule. Make recommendations on capital expenditures and labor. Develop and establish departmental standards and procedures in line with Manufacturing Excellence philosophy. Maintain good housekeeping using 5S program and health and safety practices within the production area. Develop, motivate and discipline reporting personnel as required. Responsible for incoming receiving process to ensure verification of all deliveries, accurate record keeping, and appropriate handling. Responsible for recording all inventory movement within the MRPII system to ensure accurate perpetual records. Responsible for material movement within all inventory warehouses, including fulfillment of work order material requirements, replenishment of production kanban warehouses, movement from production to finished goods and movement to/from external warehouses as indicated in daily production meetings. Responsible for appropriate handling, storage, identification of inventory within all raw material, finished goods warehouses and customer owned finished goods inventory locations as well as in transit to/from production locations. Maintain a high level 95% or better inventory accuracy for all implant inventories. Ensure weekly cycle counts are performed and completed. Maintain labor efficiency variances to within 10% of total direct wage bill. New Product Introduction- manage prototype builds and program start-ups. Wip Aging- Reduce wip aging and develop a process to maintain it below 30 days.
REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or related discipline with 5-7 years of related experience, preferably within electornics contract manufacturing environment.
