Manufacturing Engineer - automotive, assembly, lean, project eng

A growing division of a large manufacturer producing components for heavy off road and transportation industries is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer.

This position is responsible for new product launches, planning, development and execution of projects related to continuous improvements and cost reductions in a high volume special machine tool, welding and automated assembly environment. Interested candidates must have strong leadership and communication skills and demonstrate past process improvement results. Candidates must have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and experience implementing Lean practices in a high volume environment. Knowledge of fixturing, tooling, gauging, automation, conveyers, pick and place or other automated systems is required. Interested candidates must have a basic knowledge of APQP requirements and understand QS-9000 and/or TS-16949 standards.

We are searching for candidates with a BSME, BSMET, BSEE or equivalent technical experience. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for a high profile position in a major corporation. MUST HAVE: a four year technical degree, automotive systems and direct experience implementing lean manufacturing techniques in a high volume environment. Knowledge of automated assembly is a huge plus.
