Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical

Assisting in the design and manufacture of hazardous and safe area control and data acquisition systems for oil and gas drilling rigs worldwide. Will be responsible for ensuring that all designs meet recognized industry standards of manufacturability and supportability. Will design and implement system test fixtures to assist with factory acceptance testing of products. Must be familiar with developing BOM’s, router creation and standard engineering practices related to manufacturing. Role requires interface with design engineers, assisting internal and external manufacturing processes. Identify and execute cost savings in material, processes, and methods. Provide technical support to manufacturing shop.
REQUIREMENTS
BSME with a minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with sheet metal fabrication, machine shop (including tooling and fixturing), and mechanical assembly processes. Additionally the ideal candidate will possess knowledge or experience with some, or all, of the following software packages or technologies: Six Sigma, CNC programming, Windows based OS, Auto CAD, Pro-E, Quick response manufacturing (QRM) & Just in time (JIT) concepts.
