Manufacturing Engineer- Fabrication

Purpose: Job description entails the following: Position is responsible for the technical development and improvement of manufacturing systems and processes. This includes work sequence, tool, equipment, and machine specification, design, and implementation. Will also provide production support for technical issues. Works closely with production management and tooling in the continuous improvement of existing manufacturing systems, processes and equipment.

Candidates must possess the following skills:

BS Degree in Engineering
3-5 years experience in lean manufacturing, continuous flow environment. Heavy lifting equipment or related type industry preferred.
Proficient with computers- MS Word, Excel, Access, CAD/CAM software, and e-mail.
Thorough understanding and practical use of JIT, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
Participatory experience in the design and implementation of a new product line in a concurrent engineering (Production Preparation) process.
Technical expertise to perform root cause analysis ? eliminating problems through design analysis, ergonomic improvements, and machine/process improvements, including machine purchase requirements.Classification:Full-TimeCompensation:
