Manufacturing Engineer

Pentair Water - Delavan Operations, a leading global provider of innovative products and systems used in the movement, treatment, storage and enjoyment of water, is the Headquarters for Pentair's Pump division. Formerly the Corporate Headquarters for Sta-Rite Industries, Delavan has been in operation since 1934 and is conveniently located off I-43 in southeastern Wisconsin offering a low-traffic commute.

General Responsibilities:

Provide technical manufacturing engineering support to all departments of the company, including but not limited to machine shop, assembly, painting, packaging, design engineering, sales/marketing, and purchasing. Responsibility includes plant layout on the system, cost reductions, designing special equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

-Specify, justify, and purchase new manufacturing equipment.
-Conduct, audit and analyze time studies and work instructions for efficiency
-CNC machine programming, edits and creation
-Plant engineering layouts.
-Manufacturing cost reductions.
-Help in implementation of LEAN manufacturing techniques and design
-Optimize work flow and cell designs for through put in shop
-Basic tool and machine design for new product and/or processes.
-Track and implement cost reductions by implementing process improvements.
-Work closely with cross functional groups to implement new products into manufacturing to optimize productivity and efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education/Experience:
The following are highly desirable qualities and abilities that will assist the person in performing this job successfully:

-Four-year Engineering degree.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously making decisive decisions
-Previous exposure to Lean Manufacturing
-Previous experience managing engineering projects including capital appropriation, product rationalization and in-sourcing/out-sourcing
-Proven track record of efficiency improvements, quality improvements and project management
-Proficiency in Word, Excel and E-mail along with experience in an ERP system such as SAP would be advantageous.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
