Manufacturing Engineer

Purpose: Industry leader is looking for an entry level Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.

Position Description
Responsible for supporting the safety, quality and productivity of existing weld robots. The main focus of this position will be to support seven welding robots with a total manufacturing plan that includes: Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Mistake Proofing, etc.. Responsible for all detailed processes in connection with manufacturing, routings, time studies, and N/C programs. Review new releases for design and manufacturing. Assist with recommendations for new equipment and tooling. Provide shop support to aid in improving the coordination and collaboration between departments and teams.

Position Responsibilities
1. Coordinate the development of timely and accurate N/C programs to aid in efficiency in production.
2. Analyze processes to find possible problems or needed improvements.
3. Collaborate with production and other teams by attending scheduled meetings to ensure timely improvements on processes.
4. Assist with recommendations for new equipment and tooling.
5. Substitute for shop supervisor when needed.
