Manufactruing Equipment Engineer

Liaison with Equipment supplier(s) of commercial imaging and support equipment for this major graphic arts equipment and process business
Responsible for procurement of imaging equipment along with other members of the Operations teamIntegrate system within LCD customer fab, for example, material flow in and out of process, automated material handling system designInstall the System Equipment at customer locations in Asia
Use Lean tools to improve process and reduce cycle time for installs
Develop supplier to meet business needs
Assessing Supplier capability & capacities
Driving quality improvement and cost reduction
Develop and implement system field service, with our supply chain organization, in conjunction with Equipment supplier / contract
Service escalation processes
Development & Implementation of Parts supply strategiesApplication support infrastructure
Field equipment Service infrastructure
Product Quality management systems
Work with supply chain to implement system complaint management processes/systems
Product enhancement processes
Continual improvement of commercial product based on customer priorities
•Manage support activities post commercialization•Assist in developing capital budget for business, audit cost and report to business
•Job position requires strong interpersonal skills with capability of interacting with various cultures and ability to influence at all levels.
Ability to interact with Asian customers, equipment suppliers and supply chain personnel
Networking: establish strong networks with Asian support infrastructure for business support
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications/Experience Needed
BS Mechanical or Electrical degree required
Minimum of 5 years Manufacturing or Project experience.Experience in Equipment manufacturing, design, building, installation
Broader experience in industrial facilities
Demonstrated performance in meeting strategic business intents and valuing customer/partner needs
Demonstrated self-management capability and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in order to gain the cooperation of others and build cross -functional teams. Demonstrated ability to lead, plan and implement new processes and resolve issues. Competency in the use of computer systems and data manipulation (spreadsheet, database, statistical packages, MS Project, etc).Previous experience electronic industry preferred
Experience in dealing with Equipment Suppliers and hardware / software support preferred
Background in Six Sigma and Lean
Strong project management skills required including MS Project capability.
