The positions will require the candidates to live in or relocate to the Indianapolis, IN area. The positions are long-term, full-time openings. Some relocation assistance is available but will depend upon compensation expectations.
Our client seeks U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders only. CTG will only accept candidates who can work on an hourly W-2 or salaried basis. No 1099 or Corp to Corp candidates will be considered.
CTG - a leader in information technology - has immediate needs for experienced Manual Quality Assurance Testers. In general, the Quality Assurance Testers will report to the Quality Assurance Test Lead and will conduct all assigned activities pertaining to the development, execution and reporting of all test initiatives undertaken to validate all proprietary software applications under development to ensure compliance and upward compatibility for future versions. They will also work closely with test managers, business analyst/testers, developers, and subject matter experts to prepare manual test cases, test data, determine expected results, and communication/resolve issues and defects identified.
Major daily responsibilities include:
•Working with testing resources and subject matter experts to gain functional understanding of the application and associated business processes
•Creating or validating test data
•Development, maintenance and execution of manual functional and integration test cases to facilitate functional, integration, systems, regression and user acceptance testing
•Identifying, documenting, and communicating all issues/defects discovered during test case development and execution following documented reporting procedures and policies
•Researching unexpected results to identify root causes and responding accordingly
•Identifying, reporting, and documenting risks associated with testing
•Communicating all situations to Manager/Lead regarding test results
•Rapidly producing quality products under tight and strict deadlines
•Working independently with minimal supervision
•Assisting Business Analysts with requirement gathering and developers with triage, research and validation of system errors and enhancements.

REQUIREMENTS
Required skills:
•2+ years of manual (SQA) testing experience (functional, regression, interface, integration, user acceptance) creation and execution
•2+ years of experience with issue tracking and bug resolution methodology - demonstrating a high level of competence and ability
•Proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel)
•Knowledgeable of testing methodologies, strategies and approaches
•Although not required, prior health and/or insurance industry experience is highly preferred
•Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical personnel
•Demonstrated analytic and problem solving skills and technical/non-technical leadership abilities
•Demonstrated ability to rapidly produce quality products under tight and strict deadlines
Preferred skills:
•Prior health and/or insurance industry experience
•A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent experience
•Experience with web/client based software application testing
•Experience with AS400, Mainframe, and/or client/server n-tiered application testing
•A demonstrated understanding of Compuware’s CARS methodology
