The position is also responsible for direct day-to-day supervision of operation staff working in systems engineering. These complex multi-site systems support mission-critical, business and Internet customer facing systems. The availability, reliability, integrity, and security of the systems are critical to the operation of WebEx Communications.Overall ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Engineering services include the following:
- Provides expertise regarding planning, technical architectures, models and standards (process) to both operations and engineering organizations
- Recommends appropriate courses of action to developers and management on technical and infrastructure issues- Recommend proactive courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness- Proactively assists in defining direction for future technology, infrastructure or architecture projects- Works with the all of the other operation teams and including software development to ensure technology process and support integration- Manage cross functional projects between various organizations- Provides upward, downward and lateral communication- Functions as an inter/intra-group liaison- Leads project efforts as required

REQUIREMENTS
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- 10+ plus years of experience in system architecture- 5+ years direct people management
- Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux systems including hardware, software and applications- Provide hands-on technical leadership in design and deployment of Unix services
- Take full responsibility for prioritizing the tasks presented to the group
- Experience in designing, planning, and implementing small and large scale systems solutions- Project planning and management skills, including ability to identify and assess risk- Must have exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills- Must be able to work constructively in a team environment
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other technical fields
