We currently have an opening in our MRD Maintenance Department for a(n) Manager of Plant Engineering & Maintenance, at our Pearl River, NY facility (located on the Rockland County, NY/Bergen County, NJ border).As a Manager of Plant Engineering & Maintenance, you will provide centralized oversight of the maintenance staff in the development and implementation of the maintenance programs and in the day-to-day maintenance of buildings, facilities, instrumentation, and equipment within budget limits. You will be accountable for providing tactical management of resources to ensure that the work performed by the maintenance staff is accurate, timely, efficient and compliant with corporate policies, plant SOPs, cGMP regulations, and FDA regulations. You will ensure implementation and sustainability of all SCI requirements. You will also manage the delivery of maintenance services (including calibration, preventative maintenance, and work order requests) to fully support the strategic objectives of the Research and Facilities operations. You will manage the development of the maintenance programs such as preventive and predictive maintenance, calibration, CCMS, CMMS, and maintenance engineering. Furthermore, you will interact with the maintenance engineering staff in tracking new instruments, machinery, and facilities assuring all appropriate programs are assigned and modified when required.You must have a BS degree in Engineering with a minimum of ten years experience in related maintenance or engineering projects in a manufacturing plant environment. A minimum of fifteen years experience in maintenance related work can be substituted for the formal engineering degree. Experience in a Pharmaceutical environment would be helpful, but not necessary. Three to Five years of supervisory/management experience is also preferred. You must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, and the ability to make value judgments. You must also have computer skills. You must have training in cGMP/cGLP, personnel policies and safety.
