Manager, Large Aircraft System

Duties and Responsibilities:
Fulfill leadership role for the team that is tasked with supporting Landing Systems for the projects undertaken by the Large Commercial Systems Group. Responsible for working with Central Engineering for the delivery of hardware and software designs, per AG PDP/NPI process standards, along with program costs and schedule requirements. Exercises direction and control over an engineering section with the responsibility for developing specified products. Will be responsible for the product design and development that meets all customer specifications and company requirements, along with the ability to interface with project management for work over several major projects with the accountability for design criteria and concepts, planning, scheduling, cost estimation and control, and coordinating all activities related to design, development, test and follow-up of the projects; generally involving directing in the workforce efforts through assigned engineers and support personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
Keys:
BS in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or Mechanical Engineering and/or equivalent experience. 5 years previous related experience sufficient to demonstrate thorough competency and knowledge of theory and practical application of the technical disciple applicable to the assigned area. Must also be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively organize work functions and staff assignments. Minimum 3 years of engineering supervision or team lead experience, with an emphasis on directing activities such as recruitment, retention, performance appraisals, training and development, and have thorough knowledge of modern production methods, techniques, equipment and processes.
