Manager, CT Systems Engineering

Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: Come and join GE Healthcare!As the Systems Engineering Manager for our global CT business you will be responsible for a variety of tasks key to the CT business ranging from product design specifications to final verification and validation. You will guide a team of lead systems designers across several concurrent programs to deliver high quality, clinically beneficial products to our customers. Driving concistency of the requirements process will be one of the keys to success in this assignment. Designing for image quality, and responding to issues that arise are also an integral part of this job. Design tradeoffs between subsystems as well as algorithm development between the Applied Science Lab, Systems, and Image Reconstruction are necessary to ensure the highest image quality for our custmers. Furthermore, to ensure quality product delivery, you will also guide verification and validation of each program, per compliant processes. Lastly, you will be responsible for driving the CT business roadmap with the chief engineer, the chief scientist, and the segment manager. Rapid simulations and analysis of various proposals will be key to success in this endeavor.~HJ~
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * MS in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
2+ years of leadership experience with large teams (15+ team members)
Demonstrated analytical skills, mathematical modeling skills, system block diagram skills
Demonstrated team building, leadership, and organizational skills
Willing to work out of our Milwaukee, WI location
Willing to travel occasionally (varies from 0% to 20% depending upon the particular program requirements)
Willing to submit to a background investigation and drug screenDesired: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of imaging systems
Functional experience in multiple engineering disciplines
PhD in engineering discipline
Working knowledge of GE Healthcare Quality System and PRD processes
Detailed knowledge of CT and PET scanner hardware, software, and service
