Maintenance Support Engineer

Maintenance Support Engineer Colbond is a leading global producer and supplier of three dimensional matrix and synthetic nonwovens fabric products. We provide high grade backing for carpets and other interior trim elements for the automotive and commercial flooring market, high-end reinforcements for the construction industry market and high performance ventilation, insulation and drainage products for the building and Civil engineering markets. JOB REQUIRE- MENTS Responsible for the all aspects of the Colbond Inc. mechanical operations, preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, future growth, and coordinating with engi- neering all capital and expense projects. Position is responsible for the supervision of the maintenance employees and the productivity and effectiveness of said employees. Supervision and training of maintenance department; support of Production departments in all mechanical related requirements to ensure the least possible downtime; provide support to M&E Manager and Maintenance Department when appropriate; provide technical support for mechanical trouble-shooting and follow-up; fix right the first time; establish Maintenance planning, Work Order registration, and Pre- ventive and Predictive systems; provide engineering design, project estimates, schedules, fabrication, installation and start-up assistance on small projects or process improvements as deemed necessary; ensure all drawings are updated as necessary; control of spare parts inventory; maintain department and all work areas in a safe and clean manner according to Colbond's HSE standards. Job requirements are not limited to items listed above. Flexibility in changing assignments is necessary. QUALIFICATIONS The qualified candidate should possess 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment and possess a broad knowledge of industrial equipment. Highly developed management, organization and communication skills are also required. EDUCATION / OTHER 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
