Appleton is headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin, and has manufacturing operations in Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and the United Kingdom, employs approximately 3,400 people, and is 100 percent employee-owned.Expected Results: Oversee the preparation, planning, scheduling, coordination and execution of maintenance activities in support of the Appleton Plant objectives. Provide technical and logistical leadership to maintenance craftsmen at the Appleton Plant. One of the primary objectives will be to control costs associated with quality of workmanship, the effectiveness of preventive maintenance, proper utilization of time and materials, and availability of tools and equipment.
Supporting Activities: Assist in the development of formal preventative/predictive maintenance programs, directs implementation and maintains adherence. Coordinates all maintenance activity associated with business units, plant, planning, scheduling and supervising for successful work order completion, collaborating closely with lead personnel. Ensure effective maintenance planning and execution. Assess urgency of work and execute against priories, Develop and/or refine daily operation and recommends equipment modifications to resolve continuous problems and implements resolution. Direct the department safety and housekeeping programs. Maintains a working knowledge of the Labor Agreement. Uphold contract commitments to the union. Plans and implements assigned capital and expense projects.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering. Basic overall knowledge of maintenance methods and techniques. Good understanding of preventative/predictive maintenance. Familiar with state of the art maintenance techniques, practices and procedures. Strong interpersonal, communication, technical and analytical skills. Initiative, tenacious, cooperative, team player, assertive, tactful and diplomatic. Excellent oral and written communication, project management, problem solving and organizational skills.
