500 companies worldwideInterest Category: EngineeringJob Description: Performs a combination of duties necessary to provide Engineering support during plant operations as required to maintain Tooele Chemical Disposal Facility within local and Federal regulations and designed operation and configuration parameters. Duties include reviewing technical data packages for plant equipment configurations and identifying potential areas for design improvements; reviewing problems identified by Quality Control personnel and recommending corrective actions; evaluating performance of plant equipment to include periodic entry into chemical exclusion area and processes to ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently; and interpreting specifications, technical project requirements, and literature in support of operation and maintenance activities. Duties in this area are focused on conventional engineering application specifically applicable to oversight and monitoring of plant equipment and support of operational activities during demilitarization processes. However, incumbent also performs general duties in support of the overall engineering processes as required.eggcb20

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements: Incumbent must be U.S. Citizen and possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 6 years related work experience OR a Master’s Degree in Engineering and 4 years related work experience OR a Ph.D. in Engineering and 2 years related work experience.Prefer previous experience with the maintenance and/or design and modification of tanks, piping, pumps, valves and control systems.In addition, the incumbents must demonstrate ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and myriad objectives, and the ability to reach consensus on complex issues in a timely and effective manner.Must be able to acknowledge and respond to flashing lights and sirens and be able to don a protective mask and evacuate up to 2 miles in an expeditious manner.SALARY: E5
