JOB SUMMARY. Opportunity for experienced Maintenance Professional to build and head-up the Maintenance Department for this plant start-up (green field construction to full operation, and everything in between).
JOB FUNCTIONS. Assist in overseeing construction, act as an on-site company rep, commission& debug systems, & build a maintenance department capable of supporting & assisting the facility to achieve maximum financial advantage. Responsible for hiring, training and providing leadership and development of hourly team members. Implement measurement systems to reach desired goals. Implement continuous improvement strategies that drive technical reliability. Install/administer PMS, and CMMS preventive/ predictive maintenance programs. Maintain OSHA compliance. Manage and purchase spare parts inventory. Serve as technical resource to manufacturing and other team members. Work with a variety of contractors, manage repairs, costs and electrical safety procedures. Guide, develop & coach direct reports & subordinate personnel. Mentor promising people. Insure accurate & timely information is shared by all elements to achieve consistent & unified performance. Insure a safe working environment and product safety standards, measures and practices.
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS. BS highly desirable. Computer literate. Experience in a high volume, high speed USDA/FDA food industry environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of electrical, PLCs, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, refrigeration and boiler systems. Strong preference for experience in flexible retail packaging arena (snacks, lunchmeat, cheese, etc). Establish department budgets, goals & define ways to achieve. Audit and direct corrective action if necessary. Ability to accomplish desired results through others by directing, guiding, coaching, inspiring and mentoring others. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and diagnose and troubleshoot problems. Above average written, listening and verbal skills. Knowledge of GMP'S, OSHA, COP, CIP, USDA, FDA, CMMS, PSM.
