MRP Planner

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: ManufacturingResponsibilities: Essential Functions
Drive manufacturing and Sourcing scheduling and strategies to meet the needs of the cell.
Control material input to ensure on time delivery.
Coordinate with Production Leader the output schedules to maximize production performance.
Assist manufacturing in the evaluation of increased production efficiency and cycle reduction.
Ensure minimization of excess/obsolete inventory and management of disposition.
Drive MRP and Shop Floor Control System improvements related to production scheduling and capacity management.
Ensure the successful management of material input and output to support Sales and inventory OPLANS.
Employs Six Sigma rigors to all functions within the cell(s).
Positive "can-do" attitude and demonstrated leadership skills with a high degree of ownership.
Interface with Shop management, scheduling, fulfillment team, NPI, Sourcing, suppliers, engineering, project management, logistics, and customer representatives on a continuous basis.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Desired Characteristics
Bachelors degree in Engineering / Advanced degree.
Previous supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Corporate Training Program graduate (manufacturing/operations/engineering).
Six Sigma Green Belt certified / BB / MBB (GE employees only).Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree.
Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Leadership experience and training.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge and application in COPICs/COSDOM systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Eligibility Requirements
