MRB STRESS ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY

Analyze and substantiate structural integrity of proposed repair schemes for nonconforming metallic and composite aircraft structure through hand and computer analytical stress methods

Works closely with MRB Engineers developing appropriate repair solutions which maintain design certification requirements

Performs in a schedule driven work environment

Knowledge of repair techniques and ability to perform in a schedule driven work environment

Demonstrates forethought in judgment when reviewing proposed repair methods from a diverse selection of employees and vendors

Conducts independent strength, stiffness, stability, and durability analyses on aircraft structure

Maintains a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments in aircraft structures in order to recommend innovations to improve the quality, economy, and effectiveness of company products

REQUIRMENTS

Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, civil, or mechanical engineering

Minimum of 5 years airframe stress analysis of metallic and non-metallic structures using hand analysis and computer analytical methods

Knowledge of repair techniques and ability to analyze solutions for non-conforming material in a schedule-driven environment

Stress experience in a production environment required

Experience using FAR Part 25 desired

Knowledge of Fatigue and Damage Tolerance principles

Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Must be computer literate (Word, Excel, Catia / Cadam, industry recognized stress analysis methods)Classification:ContractCompensation:
