MANUFACTURING ENGINEER - DRILLING & OILFIELD PRODUCTS

LEADING MANUFACTURING CLIENT OF OIL & GAS DRILLING PRODUCTS SEEKS A DYNAMIC MANUFACTURING ENGINEER FOR ITS NORTH SIDE MANUFACTURING FACILITY.

POSITION SUPPORTS SENIOR MANUFACTURING MANAGEMENT IN THE PLANNING, DIRECTION, CONTROL AND IMPLEMENTATION OF MANUFACTURING METHODS, FACILITY & PROCESS DESIGN AND FABRICATION PROCESS, DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Plans equipment layout, workflow and safety precautions for alterations of existing process flows and for new projects.

§ Conducts and evaluates tool life studies.

§ Creates and maintains tooling drawings.

§ Specifies and/or designs all tooling for new products, or for improvement of existing tools.

§ Assists licensees in obtaining proper tooling, drawings & specifications.

§ Assists licensees by providing proper drawings and specifications.

§ Establishes time standards for manufacturing processes.

§ Assists Senior Engineering Management in assessment, justification and costing of capital projects.
§ Writes engineering specifications as required.

§ Prepares product drawings from source drawings as assigned.

§ Works with CNC Programmer to determine most efficient tooling and method for machining and finishing of products.

§ Responsible for accuracy and security of drawing files as assigned.

§ Coordinates construction and fabrication of new and /or repairing of equipment.

§ Manages assigned capital expenditure projects for on-time and on-budget completion.

§ Follows all related work instructions, specifications and requirements.

§ Follow all Company Rules, Policies & Procedures, and Safety Rules.

§ Any other duties as assigned by Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
§ Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

§ 1 to 2 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, with emphasis in Project Management

§ Experience in CAD-CAM system and drawings.

§ Knowledge of CNC machine programming methods

§ Able to hold suppliers accountable for performance. Vendor relations experience a plus.

§ Strong verbal written and analytical skills.

§ Ability to organize and prioritize work load and to meet deadlines.

§ Ability to read, write & speak in English.

§ Understand and execute instructions well.

§ Committed to the task, using a systematic approach toward problem solving

§ Must be able to pass applicable testing as required.
