This position will be responsible for coordinating all production related
activities at this critical location. The position will interface with local
staff, suppliers, and the corporate supply chain planning team to establish the
optimal utilization of this facility to meet customer demand. The candidate
needs to have the intellectual capability and leadership potential to advance to
higher levels at this or another one of Valvoline's global supply chain
locations within 1-2 years. Potential career paths include advancement in
several aspects of the Valvoline (or Ashland) supply chain such as plant
management, supply chain planning, purchasing, engineering, etc. This important
position will report to the Plant Manager at the second largest Valvoline plant
in the world, our Houston, Texas facility.
REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, you will need the following:Bachelor of Science - prefer degree in a supply chain, operations or engineering
discipline.
APICS members preferred / CPIM certification a plus
2 years related work experience - prefer (but not required) supply chain
experience in a consumer goods organization
Experience and understanding of supply chain best practices
Must be detailed oriented and able to multitask in a fast paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills needed
Experience using ERP (SAP preferred), MRP and advanced planning tools a plus
