MANUFACTURING

This position requires the person to review job travelers and verify that they are sufficient to manufacture a part and that they comply with customer requirements. The job traveler review also includes review of operation sequence to ensure manufacturing steps are in the correct order and that all revisions are up-to-date.
This position is responsible for interpreting blue prints, customer requirements, and CAD models (mastercam and Catia 5)and making sure these requirements are on the job traveler.Additionally the ME will be required on occasion to do first piece inspection for the machine shop or suppliers when the inspection department is overloaded with work.
REQUIREMENTS
Create, review, and update job travelers
Handle, create, and manage CAD files(Mastercam/Catia Version5)
Interpret blue prints, Engineering Orders and Purchase Orders and engineering specifications
Call customer's engineers to clarify requirements
Write rework instructions
Work with machinists and suppliers to ensure customer requirements are met
Assist inspection department with first piece, first article, in-process, and final inspection
Working knowledge of CAD systems Mastercam and Catia Version 5
