Logistics Engineer

Defines and implements Industrial Products global logistics process and cost improvement projects. Focus is on continuous process improvement in all supply chain functions. Improve process integration within all inter company supply functions as well as between supplier, company, and customer. Increase efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction throughout entire value chain. This position will lead Lean Logistics initiatives for Industrial Products, and also some global projects. Project examples could include, but not limited to, VMI, Kanban, integrated pull systems, and MRP II/SAP process enhancements. This position will report to the IP Global Business Operations Planner
REQUIREMENTS
Masters degree in Industrial Engineering preferred, or related field/s.- Experience: 0-5 years.- SAP operating system knowledge helpful.- MRP II process knowledge helpful.- APICS certification a plus.- Excellent communication skills.- Experience in executing problem identification pareto analysis techniques, root cause analysis, and effective countermeasure implementation.- Commitment to Quality.- Excellent commitment to task.- Aggressive cost management skills.- Utilization of performance metrics/data to drive continuous process improvements.- Knowledgeable in several soft programs. i.e. Access, Excel etc.
