One of our top clients an internet software and services company in Austin, Texas, that provides online Constituent Relationship Management (eCRM) solutions is seeking to hire an IT Senior Systems Administrator. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day operations, capacity planning, resource management, and documentation of processes to deploy and maintain applications for Unix systems operations in a high security, 24x7 Linux Application Service Provider environment.

If applying from outside Austin no relocation will be provided.
REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities include:
•Work on systems administration problems that are diverse in scope and which require a complex analysis and an evaluation of identifiable factors.
•Conduct systematic performance tuning. Perform availability and capacity planning.
•Participate with the development, documentation and implementation of metrics tracking and reporting.
•Design and implement security measures appropriate to a 24x7 internet environment.
•Ensure efficiency improvements and changes to operations and system security and integrity are implemented and monitored.
•Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Ensure system and database disaster recovery procedures are in place and ready for execution as required.
•Design and develop extensive scripting and other automation tasks.

Job requirements:
•8 years experience of enterprise class Unix (Linux) Systems Administration in "lights out" environments. Extensive experience in high security data center operations
•Strong understanding of high-availability architectures and technologies and experience supporting a web hosting environment required.
•The position also requires extensive experience writing scripts with tools such as Perl and Unix shell.
