Lighting Engineer

Purpose: Automotive supplier in need of a Product Engineer with exterior lighting experience to fill a contract to direct hire position.

QUALIFICATIONS: BS degree is required. Must have at least 3+ years of Exterior Lighting Experience (taillamp, headlamp, fog lamp, CHMSL, etc). Ideally the candidate will have experience working at Ford or working at a Tier I/II working on Ford Programs. Knowing Fords WERS system is a huge plus.

DAY-TO-DAY: Will be leading design concepts and styling of exterior lighting products for Ford programs; Will be responsible for craftsmanship, quality conformance, and manufacturability. Will communicate with project managers, tooling, manufacturing, quality, and optics; Will monitor cost impact of changes and maintain budget. Will maintain open issues list in cooperation with project manager and project engineers. Will act as customer liaison. Will attend and organize night drive tests.
