Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for leading and managing cross functional teams in the identification and implementation of manufacturing waste and process variability elimination. The ideal candidate would provide continual improvement support to critical business processes following Schneider Production System principles using Lean & Six Sigma Tools. Candidate must have strong leadership skills to lead manufacturing excellence diagnostic events and train others.
Essential Functions:Jointly develops and implements a plant-wide process improvement plan for plant. Ability to monitor and track progress with a project planning tool (Microsoft Project). Converts Lean & Six Sigma training into action / results. Identifies improvement opportunities within critical processes to reduce Waste, Process Variation & Cost. Leads Diagnostics to identify and quantify improvement opportunities and develop implementation plans. Identifies and documents best practices to ensure continuous project and process improvements. Leverages best practices across plants and/or business units. Facilitates and participates in improvement projects between plants, suppliers and customers. Provides periodic progress reports of project status and barriers to management.BS Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering required with minimum 8 years of experience. Experience implementing lean manufacturing required with Six Sigma training preferred. Excellence change management skills required. Must be open to future relocation outside of Lexington, Kentucky.Schneider Electric Company is an equal opportunity employer.
