Lead Systems Engineer

CLEARANCE REQUIRED: TS/SCI FULL-SCOPE POLY*** The Lead System Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership on a complex system engineering effort requiring specialized expertise, creativity, initiative and sound business and technical judgment. This position will offer you the opportunity to inject your creativity, vision, and perspective into the overall design process and interface with a bright and diverse group of engineers and analysts who have chosen to invest their talent in a greater cause to keep our nation safe and protect our interests abroad. This position is a technical leadership role that will require oversight for the entire program through the system engineering task order. Responsibilities will include leading and having some hands on with system requirements, systems analysis, use case development, UML/C4ISR/DoDAF production, developing and distributing status reports and assuring the quality of task deliverables. Candidate must also have the ability to work and communicate well in a team environment that includes customer, the NCI program manager, task leaders, and other project managers to develop and deploy systems consistent with customer's requirements and IT architecture constraints. The position requires customer interaction, assisting with product marketing and demonstrations to potential customers, coordination between different task leaders, and assisting the NCI Program Manager with schedules and milestones. The successful candidate must be able to multitask, and to cope with very dynamic, ever changing high priority taskings that change daily due to competing demands from multiple customers.


Job Requirements


General Engineering Experience:
**10 years in a technical leadership role in software intensive projects and programs for Government or Industry customers, or a Masters Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience
**5 years in programs with particular relevance to SIGINT, Communications Systems, and Information Technology

Software Engineering Experience:
**10 years experience in programs that encompass systems architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test and transition into operations
**10 years in an Intelligence Community environment
**10 years experience in projects/programs than involved multiple activities and multiple vendors
