Lead Molding Engineer

Working with Pilot operations/ research manufacturing personnel, this individual will develop new processes and improve existing processes as they relate to Injection Molding. They will also head process improvement projects working in a team environment, and should be able to work with a minimum of supervision. Know, understand, and comply with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines.Qualifications
Requirements include a degree in Plastics Engineering.Strong knowledge of injection molding polymers especially polypropylene.DOE/SPC problem solving skills, computer literate with GMP, FDA and ISO understanding a must.Must be flexible/change oriented. A minimum of 7 years of industrial experience in high precision or medical molding, five years project management experience with three years as a Project Leader, hands-on experience with Injection Molding machines and a working knowledge of mold construction, plastic testing and mold flow software required.Preferred Education and Experience:Knowledge of mold flow, six sigma.Contact lens manufacturing experience.Experience in optical manufacturing a plus.
