JOB SUMMARY

As a Senior Information Security Engineer, the successful candidate analyses, defines and maintains the information security policies and standards in order to meet the defined organizational security protection requirements. The Sr. Security Engineer will perform the following duties:

Develop information security policies and procedures;
Perform product evaluations as needed to further strategic goals for information security.
Develop security awareness and strategy initiatives.
Manage risk and vulnerability assessments.
Participate in the development, implementation and testing of corporate business continuity plans.
Perform internal information security procedures and practices (e.g. audit trail monitoring for unusual activity, security and threat review and analysis and risk assessments).
Participate in projects as an internal security consultant to provide direction, review and support by bringing a high degree of security expertise.
REQUIREMENTS


Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering or other related degree or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
Demonstrated experience in managing the security function that includes security policies, design and implementation, in a heterogeneous environment that includes at least three of the following computer environments: Unix (HP/UX), Windows NT, Windows 2000, Client server, Intranet/Internet, e-Commerce.
Experience with the Security authentication and logging components of a variety of Operating Systems including Microsoft Windows, HP-UX and Linux.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, PMP, GIAC, CISCO, etc.
Experience with LDAP, Active Directories and intrusion detection systems.
Experience with threat and risk assessment and documentation.
Experience with secure authentication systems, firewalls and web server implementations.
Experience with security reviews of complex hardware and software systems.
Experience performing security audits of established configurations, policies or procedures. Ability to represent the company during internal and external audits.
