Lead Hardware Quality Engineer

We’re currently seeking a Lead Hardware Quality Engineer to join our unique team as we continue our history of excellence.The individual will train others in all aspects of inspection, record keeping, non-conformance recording and sample inspection, as well as interperate and ensure compliance to drawings. Must be able to objectively assess accept/reject criteria based on workmanship standards. The successful candidate will also perform and inspect SPC for internal and external customers. May review and maintain copies of government contracts and interface with government representatives (DCMA QAR). A qualified candidate will enforce strict compliance with safety, handling and safeguarding all documents and products to prevent loss or damage. Initiate Deficiency Inspection Reports (DIR), and will record corrective action requests as necessary. Will perform ISO 9000/AS9100 Process Audits in accordance with requirements.Review and revise internal hardware quality and inspection processes as required in order to attain maximum organizational efficiency. Provide quality input to the new product introduction (NPI) process. Supervise staff of three quality engineers/inspectors.The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related technical field. Must have direct, hands-on experience identifying, analyzing, documenting, and driving the resolution of quality and material issues. Direct experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 environment is a must as well as a background in working the supply chain ecosystem. Supervise staff of three quality engineers/inspectors. This position may require a driver's license for travel to customer locations and the ability to obtain an IPC-A-610 Certification.US Citizenship is required.
