Lead Engineer/Technologist, Robotic Technology Development

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, AviationFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: * Lead and participate on projects involving development and implementation of robotic applications for manufacturing and assembly.
Investigate and implement new technologies aimed at improving shop productivity and reducing losses.
Provide expert technical support to our customers.
Develop technical capabilities concurrent with execution of position responsibilities.
Execute with some guidance the analysis/evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product/program requirements.
Provide technical leadership to other personnel assigned to support the effort on assigned projects and/or tasks.
Document technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * BS in Engineering or a related field.
Significant experience relevant to indicated position area of expertise.
Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with the technology and tools relevant to the function.
Commitment to staying abreast of technology advancements in discipline.
Strong desire to make a positive impact on our customers.Desired: * EEDP program graduate.
MS Degree in Engineering.
Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certified (GE Employees Only).General: Provide technical leadership related to robotic applications for manufacturing and assembly. Investigate, develop, and implement technical solutions that improve performance of manufacturing and inspection systems.
