RGBSI is looking for a Lead Eng General

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for all elements listed in Engineer III with the additional responsibility of managing the overall completion of importance and complex engineering tasks and projects. Include significant administrative as well as technical guidance. Initiate, direct, supervise and control engineering projects within a specified area of responsibility. Manage the overall completion of important and complex engineering tasks and projects. Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. Coordinate completion of the workshops by drawing on Supplier and resources to attend and actively participate in implementing opportunities identified. Identify opportunities, schedule workshops, lead workshops, assign follow-up responsibilities and report results. Implement improvements that are identified in workshops, working with Engineering and Manufacturing resources

SKILLS REQUIRED:
* High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
* Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design
* Highly developed oral and written communications skills
* High level of interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
* General interest in product design, particularly automotive
* Familiarity with basic machine types
* Familiarity with all design, build and test services
* Highly proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Thorough knowledge of most advanced engineering methods, tools, and procedures
* Knowledge of design, development and test engineering, manufacturing processes, assembly operations and Central Office functions
* Experience with engineering, supply management, and/or manufacturing.
* Willingness to travel, Goal oriented and proactive
* Energy to develop relationships while communicating fundamental change/resistance within the organization

SKILLS PREFERRED:

Include significant administrative as well as technical guidance. Initiate, direct, supervise and control engineering projects within a specified area of responsibility. Manage the overall completion of important and complex engineering tasks and projects. Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.


REQUIREMENTS


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* 15+ years of relevant experience
* Past experience in VAVE and other workshop skills
* Willingness to learn MCIP and VAVE

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
* College degree with a major in engineering or equivalent training
* Completion of recommended corporate training programs
* Graduate degree preferred
