Lead EMC Storage Engineer

Fortune 500 Company, located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, is currently seeking a Lead EMC Storage Engineer.
Duties will be to architect, implement and provide 3rd level support for the storage environment. Candidate will possess strong knowledge of EMC DMX3, Clariion, Celerra, Centera, EC, SRDF, SYMM CLI, Veritas NetBackup and Power Path. Familiarity with standalone storage on independent platforms (AS/400 and (S/390) is also a plus.

An important part of this position will be to drive storage strategies and recommend industry best practices for storage solutions. Proactive storage forecasting and organizing implementation efforts is a further requirement.

REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 3 years storage experience with a focus on EMC products
* A solid understanding of Sun Solaris
* Experience across a variety of other platforms & technologies including
* Oracle, Veritas NetBackup, Veritas Volume Management, Microsoft Windows, HP Storage Arrays
* Familiarity with OS/390 and OS/400 is preferred
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
