Land Use Planner
Current planner needed for expanding municipal engineering and planning firm with client base of smaller cities and towns throughout Arizona. Responsibilities include: preparation of staff reports to evaluate the impact of re-zoning requests and special use permits; presentations of reports to city and town councils, boards, commissions, public agencies and citizens; provision of technical assistance in communicating codes, rules and administrative procedures to citizens and staff; review of subdivision plats and master development plans; and special studies, as required.
Minimum qualifications are a bachelor's degree in urban planning, urban design, landscape architecture or a related field and two years experience in municipal planning, or a related community development activity. A master's degree and/or AICP certification are desirable. Any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
