Lab Coordinator

Responsible for management of centralized and decentralized lane area in building 2010.Coordinate laptop, simulator and equipment calibration, utilization and maintenance efforts.Coordinate and lead lab cleanup, storage and disposal efforts.Assess equipment needs and purchase tools as needed, set up secure inventory system for units, tools an parts and track usage.Track and ensure proper calibration of equipment and safety monitors.Maintain gas bottles and tank farms and ensure functionality per policy.Serve as first point of contact for all lab equipment issues, track and maintain request/work orders.Equipment resource (vehicle, dynamometers, tools) scheduling and user training.Enforce lab cleanliness and safety procedure compliance.Work with Admin/Facility departments to coordinate contract work as needed.Coordinate vehicle maintenance, safety and upkeep (registration and emissions testing compliance, etc.)Document units configuration computer including software, patch, and build levels.Maintain MSDS, calibration gas plumbing and exhaust removal systems.Recommend and make continuous improvements to increase efficiency and user satisfaction.


Requirements:

Aptitude in electrical and mechanical system operation, troubleshooting and repair.Extensive experience in lab-quality equipment calibration.Excellent written and electronics communication skills.Knowledge of current industry emissions and vehicle safety testing techniques, equipment and methodologies.Advance inventory control experience.Associates Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Company and/or industry experience a plus.Excellent documentation and record keeping skills with proficiency in MS Excel.Able to lift 50 lbs, operate forklift and work evenings and weekends as needed.Clean MVR.
